Job Description


Under general direction of Senior Management, the Manager will develop market access strategies, assist with payer market research, contribute to health economic activities, and provide content for scientific purposes.

  • Develop content for market research and scientific purposes
  • Serve as a content resource and team lead for the development of clinical materials, market research reports, implementation of outcomes studies, and more
  • Contribute to development of proposals and concept papers that clearly convey the excellence of Consulting services with accurate estimates of project budgets and associated timelines
  • Support goals for business unit/service line growth
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all services
  • Design and implement health outcomes and/or economic studies - from study concept stage to final report, including burden of illness studies, patient-reported outcomes studies, drug utilization reviews, prospective or retrospective observational epidemiologic or health resource utilization studies and database analyses
  • Participate in project team meetings and collaborate with fellow team members to efficiently complete engagements within allotted number of hours by given timeline
  • Therapeutic areas may include but are not limited to biotech/specialty products, orphan and ultra-orphan disease, oncology, and primary care
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firm and inspire fellow employees to excellence in all matters of internal and external project work
  • Lead project teams in a client manager role for Consulting, serving as the primary client interface in meeting and exceeding client expectations (estimated 20% to 40% of projects)
  • Support project and client needs with business travel, as needed (5% to 10%)

Job Requirements


Master's degree (in Health Economics, Pharmacy Administration, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, Clinical Epidemiology, Public Health Policy or Business Administration) as the minimum educational requirement with at least 3 years of practical experience.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain high quality work output in a high paced dynamic environment while working on multiple projects
  • Functions well in a team atmosphere
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Broad technical knowledge of outcomes research and health economics
  • Retrospective research experience as well as a sound understanding of large database management and analysis
  • Descriptive and inferential statistical and analytical skills
  • Detailed knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and experience with issues surrounding the marketing of pharmaceutical products in the global marketplace to include the design and use of health economics and outcomes research studies
  • Ability to communicate complex material in presentations and discussions in a straightforward manner
  • Demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication
  • Ability to network and partner with important external customers, including pharmaceutical companies, medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors and pharmacy directors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and associated software
