Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations and Consulting will develop and lead market access strategies including health economic and outcomes research activities, HTA submissions, pricing and PMPRB activities and market research activities to ensure the successful delivery of projects to both external and internal clients.


What You'll Do:

  •  Lead market access projects with responsibility for the design and execution of health outcomes and/or economic studies - from study concept stage to final report, including burden of illness studies, patient-reported outcomes studies, drug utilization reviews, prospective or retrospective observational epidemiologic or health resource utilization studies,database analyses, and budget impact analyses. Lead HTA submissions to CADTH, INESSS, provincial/federal and private payers including the preparation and dispatch of submission dossiers according to applicable guidelines.
  • Develop and lead pricing analysis and PMPRB focused projects including pricing strategy, HDAP submissions, annual filing and policy related issues.
  • Develop content and assist with market research projects including primary market research.
  • Serve as a content resource and team lead for the development of clinical materials, market research reports, implementation of outcomes studies as well as additional project materials as needed.
  • Contribute to development of proposals and concept papers that clearly convey the excellence of Consulting services with accurate estimates of project budgets and associated timelines
  • Support goals for business unit/service line growth
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all services
  • Participate in project team meetings and collaborate with fellow team members to efficiently complete engagements within allotted number of hours by given timeline
  • Therapeutic areas may include but are not limited to biotech/specialty products, orphan and ultra-orphan disease, oncology, and primary care
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firm and inspire fellow employees to excellence in all matters of internal and external project work
  • Lead project teams in a client manager role for Consulting, serving as the primary client interface in meeting and exceeding client expectations (estimated 20% to 40% of projects)
  • Some travel based on client project needs

Job Requirements


  • Detailed knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and experience with issues surrounding the marketing of pharmaceutical products in the global marketplace to include the design and use of health economics and outcomes research studies
  • Broad technical knowledge of pricing policy in Canada, HTA and outcomes research methods.
  • Experience in leading PMPRB and pricing analyses.
  • Retrospective research experience as well as a sound understanding of large database management and analysis
  • Descriptive and inferential statistical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication
  • Ability to communicate complex material in presentations and discussions in a straightforward manner
  • Structured and well organized with excellent work ethic
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain high quality work output in a high paced dynamic environment while working on multiple projects
  • Functions well in a team atmosphere
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to network and partner with important external customers, including pharmaceutical companies, medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors and pharmacy directors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and associated software
