POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Manager, Business Integration Services, the IT Business Integration Manager will work closely with the Business partners during the negotiation and submission of business proposals in support of our clients Patient Support Programs.

This role spans multiple departments to ensure our internal processes are followed, and to ensure that we are well positioned to respond to our clients RFP. The individual will be responsible for the planning, preparation, documentation and on-boarding of the new support programs.

The individual is expected to possess ‘expert level’ business process knowledge within their Business Portfolio. The individual will serve as the key liaison between the Clients, Business and IT, by gathering accurate, comprehensive requirements, managing the build, testing and the implementation of Patient Support Programs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with our Clients to understand the client’s business requirements and is responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined, and documented.
  • Facilitates requirements-gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements using best practice methods and tools.
  • Mediates differences in Business perspectives to drive requirements consensus.
  • Bridges the gap between Business and IT, ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment
  • Owns the creation of a project plan to identify key milestones & deliverables regarding criticality, downstream impact if dates are missed and determine alternative/mitigating actions.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that deliverables are achieved, on-time and in-budget.
  • Monitors project deliverables and escalates when required to mitigate risks.
  • Provides timely, concise communications to functional and executive leadership regarding project status and pending issues.
  • Identifies issues and potential risks within the project; proactively manages them to resolution and/or mitigation with the assistance of the Process and Technical Leads.
  • Will act as the Project Lead in the development of the project plan, design and implementation plan in accordance to the Client requirements.
  • Facilitates activities across internal teams to ensure the program deliverables are on track and understood.
  • Provides input in the preparation of capital expenditure (CER’s) for projects.

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in launching and supporting Patient Support Programs
  • Experience in business administration, computer sciences or similar vocations  
  • PMI certification or equivalent project management methodology training and hours preferred
  • Requires full project life cycle and team leadership experience with large-scale implementations specifically in managing development and data objects; demands cross functional information technology/business analysis background
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years directly related experience
  • Management and/or project leadership experience

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A high degree of business acumen in the pharmaceutical health services field, in addition to, demonstrated leadership experience, operating in a high growth, high transaction multi location environment.
  • Strong Project Management Skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and under tight deadlines, operating in a cross-functional environment.
  • Provides subject matter expertise (SME) of both business process and technical support that complies with standard project methodology.
  • Technical expertise in project management support tools like MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Patient Support Programs, Billing, Pharmacovigilance, and ERP applications.
  • Possesses subject matter expertise (SME) and understanding of business principles, processes relative to technology solutions and capabilities in the pharmaceutical services field.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and implement projects of various size and scope.
  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent presentation skills able to influence decisions.
  • Ability to lead and direct team members working on the project.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility - somebody who easily gains the respect of peers and senior management as a technology and business expert with strong leadership, facilitation, and influencing skills.
