Job Description

We are looking for a Director for our New Business Development (NBD) team.  As this a critical role on the team, you will provide insights into current trends in the Specialty pharmaceutical manufacturer industry and position Innomar’s capabilities in order to establish new client partnerships.  You will both lead and be part of an agile, dynamic team and create the strategy and implementation plan for seeking new business.

You are a big-picture thinker who understands how to map and test a strategy; with flexible thinking, you can recalibrate as you deepen your understanding of customers’ needs. This role balances being a people leader with consistently executing through a hands on approach to teamwork.  It requires the individual to have the ability to demonstrate strong executive presence skills with pharma and biotech C-suite and key decision makers, and also requires an understanding the interrelationship between groups and the ability to influence and work across functional boundaries.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•         Targeting and Marketing Analysis

    • Manage the development of client contact process and new business lead generation;
    • Ongoing assessment of current market landscape for business development related opportunities and challenges, with information and solution transfer to key business partners;

o    Lead team members in finding efficiencies for tracking and reporting Key Performance Indicators and trends analyses for all business development activities;

    • Represent Innomar at industry conferences, client visits, and capability presentations.

  • Partnership and Customer Solutions
    • Strategize on and recommend patient, business, and technology requirements and solutions for our customers; identifying the appropriate internal or external partners to validate
    • Ability to develop a pricing model strategy and effectively communicate to potential clients
    • Working in collaboration with finance, providing a strategic plan and validating a P&L for all service recommendations\\

  • RFP Management and Leadership
    • Conceptualize and develop recommendations that bring value to our customers and differentiate Innomar from our competitors;
    • Work with your NBD team and organizational subject matter experts to articulate and position insights and strategic approach to the RFP response, identify client value drivers, and lead the pitch presentation;
    • Demonstrate to clients that you are assertive, flexible and customer minded;
    • Showcase your skill as a presenter to multiple levels of an organization with the agility to adapt the approach according to the audience

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

•        Minimum 8 years’ experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry;

•        Minimum 10 years’ combined experience in sales, business insights analysis, and marketing, with people management an asset

•        University Degree in Business, Science or Management, post-graduate degree an asset;

•        Proven track record in  networking and developing new business relationships;

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced knowledge of specialty pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong analytical, financial and business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism;
  • Creative and articulate with excellent communication and presentation expertise in front of various stakeholders;
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office software which includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce and Smartsheet;
  • Bilingualism an asset
