POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to Station Operations Manager, the Logistics Specialist is instrumental in planning and executing logistics solutions for highly sensitive products worldwide, 24 hours a day. 

Due to the delicate nature of our shipments, each one requires a tailor made solution, planned in partnership with our clients.

Employees are empowered to devise their own unique plan of action on a shipment by shipment basis and to set these plans in motion no matter how complex in scope.

The position is a 4 day week and will have a shift premium. 

The shift will be medium to long term with advancement options on the shift itself


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop creative solutions which are in line with the best interest of the client.
  • Deal directly with everyone at all levels of the logistics chain: clients, drivers, customs, etc.
  • Work with other logistics specialists in World Courier’s vast network of offices


Job Requirements

  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer care coupled with a High School diploma
  • Potential for travel to a multitude of destinations worldwide.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Creative problem solving
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
