Job Description

The Pharmacy Program Lead is responsible for leading a defined team of pharmacy personnel within Innomar Specialty Pharmacy. Working with both internal and external customers, the Pharmacy Program Liaison ensures customer satisfaction through the timely and accurate provision of pharmacy services. This highly interdependent role requires continuous collaboration and a comprehensive understanding of ABSG Procedures, policies and principles while maintaining customer-focus. The Pharmacy Program Liaison demonstrates and upholds ABC’s Core Competencies.

  • Coordinate prescription workflow and related activities to meet daily deadlines;
  • Ensure workload is shared equitably among associates;
  • Coach and mentor their team members;
  • Actively contribute to the successful on-boarding of new hires and cross-training of existing associates;
  • Collaborate with other pharmacy associates to achieve desired results;
  • Monitor outgoing shipments and liaise with Transportation Manager and courier contacts;
  • Consult regularly with Pharmacy Manager;
  • Resolve or escalate operational and customer issues through a solution-based approach;
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and documentation on, the drugs/programs assigned to their team;
  • Able to disseminate knowledge and information efficiently to their team;
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for their program portfolio;
  • Work collaboratively with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs (including Health Forward) in fulfilling pharmacy responsibilities in program development and execution;
  • Participation in and representation of pharmacy at interdepartmental meetings;
  • Prepare/review and process manual claims and audits in a timely manner;
  • Liaise with the pharmacy Accountant to manage accounts receivable, assignment of benefits, and related documentation;
  • Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and/or correct data in computer;
  • Screen calls and gather relevant information for Pharmacist;
  • Oversee inventory management practices;
  • Ensure timely completion of routine administrative tasks;
  • Understand pharmacy performance metrics;
  • Review and analyze reports, invoices or other financial documentation;
  • Prepare, review and/or maintain Quality Assurance documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, Forms and Work Instructions; CAPAs;
  • Establish relationships with KOL health care professionals;
  • Fulfill any other duties within their scope of practice as outlined in the Job Description relevant to that designation;
  • The Pharmacy Program Liaison will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time
