Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Learning & Performance, the Learning Specialist is responsible for supporting the education of our associates and works closely and supports the clinical training team. The Learning Specialist is responsible for creating & maintaining applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, forms and other necessary documentation and updating training materials required for successful self-directed learning.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates, edits, formats and updates standard operating procedures (SOPS), work instructions, forms and other necessary documentation in collaboration with the Clinical Training Team
  • Liaises and collaborates with the QA team to maintain an effective document management process for organizing and ensuring the utilization of the proper training platform based on the training content
  • Ensures all document creation achieves compliance with Innomar standard operating procedures, Quality Assurance requirements and Innomar pharmacovigilance practices
  • Responsible for Learning Portal management, including answering questions from associates, assigning training and troubleshooting related issues
  • Assists and runs reports for internal customers including reports for audit purposes and monitoring of training completion
  • Upload manufacturer-provided training and live sessions and ensures the training is assigned and tracked
  • Maintains the corporate & clinical training matrix and updates role specific curriculums as required
  • Develops learning objectives appropriate to the targeted audience, ensuring training materials comply with professional nursing standards and best practice guidelines where applicable
  • Uses Articulate Storyline to create interactive web based trainings based on content provided by subject matter experts including tests to validate knowledge
  • Stays abreast of the latest tools and techniques to provide cutting-edge training that meets learning objectives
  • Embraces the company values and mission while focusing on the Learning & Performance department’s performance excellence goals and objectives

Job Requirements

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Very technically savvy to learn new programs and e-learning authoring tools quickly
  • Excellent proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Power Point skills
  • Knowledge of biologics, specialty drugs or the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Bilingual in French and English in a corporate work environment an asset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills; excellent attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with Regional Nurse Educators, associates involved in the management of patient programs and/or other Subject Matter Experts
  • Strong ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to make decision and resolve issues effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
